New Update: Re-designed Admin Page

Screen shot 2010-04-02 at 8.48.14 AMLaunched this weekend, a new and
improved Admin Page that provides a simple way to manage your account.

At PipelineDeals we’re always
creating new additions and updates to our tool that will improve the overall
ease of use for our customers. Most importantly we take the time to make the
functionality within our tool that our customers use the most, as easy to use
as possible. Our latest improvement tackled the Admin page. The Admin page serves
as the “mother board” to customize account settings such as, Colors &
Branding, Deal Stages, Note Categories, Sources, Deal Custom Fields, Lead
Statuses, To-do Templates and much more.

This page also allows for access to
Billing & Invoices as well as detailed information about PipelineDeals
API.  With the new design in place,
the Admin page now provides simple access to key functionalities available in
your account – allowing you to make any necessary changes quickly and easily.

Videos & FAQs

For additional help, watch the
updated videos on each of the pages in the Admin set up process. Each video
focuses on a specific set up process and takes you through a step-by-step
tutorial for how to customize and make adjustments to your account. For
additional information we’ve created a list of specific FAQs relating to each
of the Admin set up topics.

  1. The new Admin page is very convenient. As I am in start-up mode for a new client, I am constantly going to this page to tweak my sales process. Its extremely helpful to have such quick and easy access to make these modifications. On another note, The Morning Coffee report is terrific, as well. It is a great asset to have a one-page review for myself and my client.

  2. To be honest; I liked the old screen better. It provided a little more description to each of the admin windows & functions, and was more in tune with the rest of the interface elements throughout the rest of Pipeline.

As far as I can tell, the screen real estate is about the same too, so it’s not like there’s even a shorter page to visit at this point. :/ Kinda stumped on how this is an improvement.

  3. Dave and Rebecca –

Thank you both for the feedback.

Dave – I wanted to share some of the impetus for the redesign of the Admin Page. We wanted to line up the order of which people use the Admin functions with the buttons. I agree that a little description for each link would be helpful. I will talk to the team about adding an explanatory sentence back in but we are trying to keep it light on text. The Admin steps line up with the Welcome Process now to help new users get on board quickly with setting up their account and adding users. That being said we are going to sync up some of the text and move the Users button to the top of the page for the Admin screen.

The page is actually a bit shorter than the older one and not two columns, with additional help on the right hand side. I know it is not exactly what you wanted but hopefully you can see a little bit more of what we are attempting to achieve.
